of useful SQE resources

Here's a list of useful resources we've come across in building Law Drills and serving the SQE community

They're a mixture of paid and free tools to help you hone your skills, pass the SQE, and get qualified.

Free Practice Questions

SRA provides 130 sample questions. 65 for FLK1 and 65 for FLK2. They're usually considered much easier than the real exam, but still highly recommended.

QLTS provide a sample mock, this includes 90 questions for FLK1 and 90 questions for FLK2. They are more difficult than the real exam, but still highly recommended.
Please be aware though that you are required to provide an email to access results.

Exam Simulator with some more free questions

Kaplan offer a Pearson vue exam simulator. This can be handy as it offers a glimpse of the SQE1 layout and interface.

Paid Practice Questions

Revise SQE provides a complete set of high-quality practice mock exams - 360 questions in total. In book (£38-42) or digital (£60) format. Highly recommended across the board by many people, including us!

Oxford University Press provides 1,400 MCQs in a digital format and 2 mock exams for £450 (12 months' access). I haven't heard much about these, but they may be worth checking out.

Barbri provides 1,200 MCQs in a digital format for £499 (access up to the next SQE sitting). They're a well known and reputable company, though generally people comment that Barbri questions are much easier than the real-thing (see the research here), so keep that in mind.

Communities and support groups

Whatsapp

Worth joining with kind, helpful people

Discord

Worth joining! Disclaimer - I started it!

The SQE Prep discord - https://discord.gg/FC9d8yqD

Reddit

Both of these are worth joining. Lots of helpful people working their way through the SQE.

Facebook Study Group

Facebook groups are hit or miss. The ones below are the good ones IMO from the 10+ that are available. Lots of good people here, but also lots of scammers so be careful if you're DM'ed or thinking of buying anything from here.

LinkedIn Groups

There are a few around (just search for SQE) - but I don't think any are worth joining yet.
Email me at an@lawdrills.com if you have a suggestion or disagree!

That's it for now.
